The Swans on the Palace Moat, Wells, Somerset, 1967 - Phillips Postcard
Apparently the mother Maribyrnong River swan was put down by the Zoo yesterday after getting badly injured by some discarded fishing gear.
People are the absolute worst.
Two of the three cygnets have disappeared in recent weeks, I'd assumed it was because they'd matured and moved on as adults. Now I'm trying to find out for sure.
