Hype for the Future 121I: Borough of Mahaffey, Pennsylvania

Overview In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Borough of Mahaffey is situated along Routes 36 and 219 in the southwestern portion of Clearfield County and is home to the Broken Arrow Café and the Starlite Lounge and Restaurant. Interestingly, the community is located along the West Branch Susquehanna River but is actually oriented more in the perpendicular direction along Route 36.

August 30, 2013: it was a foggy morning on the ridge. The trail was pretty pleasant, then it dropped down to a long road walk. I'm the road walk I crossed the Susquehanna River. In town, I walked up the the meeting place right as my grandparents pulled in. Talk about good timing!
They took me out to lunch, then to a grocery store to resupply. My aunt had decided my shirt smelled too bad, so she ordered a new one which they delivered. Back in Duncannon, we shared a pie with the other hikers at the Doyle before they went home. We hikers spent the afternoon talking, eating, and drinking, staying up well past hiker midnight.
