I'm happy to share that my article on #StudentParents during the COVID-19 pandemic, co-authored with Alyssa Stefanese Yates, is available ahead of print in the Review of Higher Education. We critique traditional notions of #SocialCapital that suggest that bonding forms of capital are inferior to bridging. Student-mothers in our study relied primarily on their women-centered networks to successfully navigate the pandemic. My two major lines of research focus on 1) dismantling ideal worker norms for staff and faculty and 2) understanding how federal policy and campus culture shape student-parents' success.
