Simon Brooke#roundhouse and we have walls! The gaps above the big windows need filling, the straw needs to be tidied up in places, but substantially the bale wall is complete – two days ahead of schedule.

@wannabekingpin it's been quite a morning! But the reason I like straw bale as a building method is that you get usable structure so fast and so cheaply. Those walls are not completely draught proof yet, but they are there and they already offer a lot of protection, and once they have render they will be very good, very well insulated, reasonably fire-proof walls.

@Pollinators this is my second #strawbalebuild . I've been living in a straw bale house for thirteen years now, and I'm very pleased with it. It's a very quick and cheap way of building habitable structures.
