*NEW WORK, NEW LOCATION*

Welcome to Tynemouth! With the Easter break, and Storm Dave due to wreak havoc across northwest England, we did the only sensible thing and drive away from it.

Here's a small selection, but there's LOADS MORE from this location, just go here -> https://www.iancylkowski.com/posts/tynemouth-tyne-wear-spring/ 👍

Just in time for #StormDave, the circus came to town! (It survived fine 🙂) #Maynooth

⚡️ 🍳

Last saturday night, #StormDave actually passed through quite quickly, causing only a brief power cut of 1 hour. It made for a truly #BlackSaturday.

Slutnotan för #StormDave häromkring är några nedblåsta träd över vägar. Har inte sett eller hört något om någon allvarligare incident. Skönt.

Hur har det gått för er?

#StormDave heading into Scandinavia this morning, captured from #MeteorM2_3 pass.
#meteorology

Did not went further out than a few meters to get some air (no pun intended). Indoor recovery day reading and sleeping.

All trains to and from town cancelled. Quite a few busses as well. As most ferry lines. The trams were going until the power lines came down. The major high way bridges over the river and the strait further north are closed. A few thousand houses on the countryside are without power. Some planes managed to land and depart. But for those that have landed no baggage is handled.

500m down the road some trees came down on a parked car.

Luckily no incidents with people.

Almost business as usual. Every few years there is this real bad storm hitting us.
