1963 A Man on a Dock, Standing Tall
This image depicts a man standing confidently on a wooden dock.
He is positioned in the center of the frame and appears to be looking off into the distance, possibly at another person or object beyond the frame.
The setting includes a body of water nearby, with several boats docked close by.
There is a clear blue sky above, suggesting it may be a sunny day.
The man's attire and the overall style of the image suggest that this might be an old photograph from around 1963.

Title: Civil Rights Advocate and Author, Jake Sloan We'll be joined by Jake Sloan, who spent most of his adult life working as a civil rights advocate and labor-management consultant. Jake will be joining us to discuss his new book, Standing Tall: Willie Long vs. U.S. Government at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. This book is about Jake's experience as one of the ?Original 21ers,? a group of young African- American workers who challenged the largest West Coast U.S. naval base to provide equal opportunities and wages… and they won, influencing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
“Half alive, hoping to see
Another day under the sky
With a voice in the head so wry
And you want me to smile?
I dare you, boy, make me!” — @vaishax
