As a former #EastLosAngeles #PublicSchool #teacher whose #school & #students benefited from federal #grants - because we worked our asses off to educate the #children in our care & particularly to utilize #ESL techniques to help get their racially discriminatory #StandardizedTest scores to qualify us for that money, this is total bullshit.

Houston ISD’s elementary STAAR scores show better-than-expected improvement, superintendent says

The percentages of HISD students meeting grade-level standards in reading increased in grades 4-8, as did the percentages in math for grades 5, 6 and 8, according to spring 2024 data released by the district and spring 2023 scores previously released by the Texas Education Agency.

@GottaLaff Maybe we should start holding the media to the standards we hold #teachers. Everyone who reads something published by a big media company should have to take a #StandardizedTest to see if the media informed them of anything useful, and if their audiences do poorly on the test then we take away any the publishers' copyrights and any other #CorporateWelfare
