Stained Glass Woman

This week on #StainedGlassWoman, we come back to Kaleidoscope, my series on how to set up your very own project like mine! This week, we're talking about branding--how you can make, and keep, a promise to your readers about what you're here to do! So, come on down and learn why you know exactly what a Stained Glass Woman article is going to be before you even open it up.

Making your own Stained Glass Woman, Part 2

Stained Glass Woman

I am altersex. And... it's more complicated than that.

This week on #stainedglasswoman, we talk about the Panel Lines I don't have, being born in the wrong century, and what it's like to live without the words to describe who you even are.

It's a lot.

On being altersex, some assembly required

Stained Glass Woman

Tomorrow morning, I'll be launching Panel Lines, my #StainedGlassWoman article on being altersex, and the particular, quite unusual, way that I, personally, am altersex.

It's a *six thousand word* mega-article. It's challenging, it's sharp-edged, and I really, really hope it connects with people.

It's also the biggest leap of faith I've taken since releasing Beneath the Surface. I certainly don't think it'll have that kind of legs to it, but... when it comes to Big Deal To Me articles, I guess, that's where this one falls.

I hope y'all will see me the way I hope. Or, at least, be kind.

#StainedGlassWoman will be returning on Monday.

It will be a jumbo, 5000+ word article. It is also the most deeply personal and painfully raw article I've written since the Black Box articles, and the most test-read since Beneath the Surface.

It's the altersex article.

If you hang out in gender questioning spaces for long enough, you'll see a surprising number of people pop in, wondering if they have Trans OCD. This week on #StainedGlassWoman, we dive in, to see what that is.

And, especially, what it isn't.

Stained Glass Woman

Today is the third anniversary of Stained Glass Woman, and to celebrate it I'm publishing, a day early, the first article in a miniseries on how you can make your own Stained Glass Woman!

But, as with all things: safety first!

Making your own Stained Glass Woman, Part 1

Stained Glass Woman

The part we far too often don't talk about when we finally get the gender-affirming surgeries that we need is how hard recovery is--and I don't mean the physical stuff. Today, on Stained Glass Woman, we're looking at The Other Recovery.

Ever wonder why Substack Recommends Nazis? This week on #StainedGlassWoman, we're diving into the history of publishing and how queer voices and, oddly, Neo-Nazis were suppressed for decades by the publishing industry--and how they broke containment.

A bonus article in celebration of Banned Books Week!

This week on #StainedGlassWoman, we're talking about some Heavy Stuff, because fat doesn't work like you think it does, fat redistribution REALLY doesn't work like you think it does, and weight cycling is mega unhealthy for you.
