Ameren was doing repair work in the alley behind my house. I walked over to ask a question. The one who answered was friendly and helpful, and the repair went smoothly from what I can tell.

Parked between the repair trucks was an Ameren-branded police car, with a security guard standing nearby.

Standard practice to always send security for repairs? Only in the city? What if I had approached without being white?
