League night at the local club. I painted #Akhorne the #BloodBowl Squirrel in 45m as there was a chance I could induce him.

Ofc I got to play Freerk's #squigs team that was also down 2 players like me 😆 no Akhorne for me!

I had only 3/16 turns that didn't end in a turnover because of Skulls and/or Both Down 🤣 ROUGH but fun!

1-0 win, 1-1 casualties, tho.

I could rework the paint on these squigs over and over forever, especially the NMM, but for my own sanity I'm going to call them done now. Having them on my desk was kind of creating a mental block. I need to get some new stuff going.

That's not to say I'm not happy with them! I love them and maybe someday I'll put them on a blood bowl pitch with the squig secret league team.

We are back from a long weekend vacation (yesterday), which if I'm being honest, does not fully do it for me. I enjoy the things we do but it's just so draining.

We are very obviously super fortunate to be able to go on vacations at all, and I've learned over the years what I need at the end is a couple days off by myself to recharge. So I've got today and tomorrow to just paint and putter around, with a few errands as well.

Today I picked up the dogs and worked a bit on these squig's teef. I realize I've also blocked in more of the NMM since I last posted progress. More refinement to come but looking good.

Technically this is a blood bowl mini too! 😆

This is why I don't care for lore of any fandom and #Warhammer in particular - is a story and can be changed whenever OG wishes, or wants to sell more puppets.

This attempt at NMM is feeling less impossible than my previous attempts, and they turned out pretty good! It's still hard though! 😆 The chains will be interesting.

It's fun having a larger project that I'm moving quicker on (blood bowl team) and a small one where I take my time.

I've assembled a great mobile painting setup, which means on lazy weekend afternoons I don't have to pick between painting and spending time with my family! Ideal situation really, if only we could pull my daughter away from her tablet for a bit 😂

Got these two orcs from my blood bowl team complete (although it's hard to tell from this truly awful picture) while watching Doctor Who this afternoon. That brings the finished count for the team up to three. They need rimming and varnish. Hopefully a full team picture isn't too far off.

Also very excited about these 3d printed squig magnetic earrings! I'm going to look extremely fly when they're painted bright colors.
