Good news for basically everything alive in my state.

Today, HB4134, the 1.25% for wildlife bill, passed the Oregon Senate after previously passing the House. It now heads to Governor Kotek's desk to be signed into law.

It will raise tens of millions of sorely needed dollars for wildlife conservation in our state. It's a huge win. I'm going to celebrate it.

Musik als Geschenk an Tiere, eine schöne Idee. Betrachtet man die berührenden Reaktionen wird umso unverständlicher, wie wir Tiere zum Teil behandeln bzw. benutzen/konsumieren.

Ich habe sehr überlegt, ob ich diese Video teile, denn erstens mag ich weder Zoos noch Käfige, zweitens hatte ich Bedenken wegen des evtl. kommerziellen Aspekts des Videos, dass die Tiere hier auch nur werbeträchtig ausgebeutet werden sollen.

Der Fokus auf die Reaktion der Tiere und ein bisschen lesen zu Plumes hat mich überzeugt und ich glaube, dieser Mensch macht das tatsächlich einfach gern, ohne kommerzielle Hintergedanken.

Und dann ist das eine sehr schöne und deutliche Botschaft. ❤️

There's a TV show on UK TV called Extraordinary Portraits. The one we're watching is about Gill Sayell, one of the Lost Lionesses who played in Copa 71, and the artist chosen was David James, also a footballer. I love the way he talked about telling her story, not letting the symbols of that story take precedence over her.
