"The #SFMTA is updating the citywide bicycle master plan for the first time since 2009. They want to hear from you... look out for SFMTA representatives at the party stops."

Sounds like a good opportunity to tell them what you think about losing #SlowPacific and recent waterings-down of #SlowStreets in general

SF Bike Party #129: Evergreen

San Francisco Bike Party

Tomorrow, Sunday the 26th, join us on a Slow Streets Slow Ride to demand "a citywide network with no gaps," as SFMTA Director Yekutiel put it.

Meet: 1:00pm, Ghirardelli Square
Roll: 1:30pm

Our ride calls attention to how Slow Pacific, Clay and Lake provided a low-stress cross-city route nearly all the way from Ghirardelli Square to Ocean Beach. But Pacific is no longer a Slow Street. Let's bring it back!

Just learned #SFMTA has ripped out the #SlowStreets signs from Pacific Ave. #SlowPacific is no more.

Pacific, long a designated bike route with sharrows, finally became usable as a Slow Street. There's no alternative route. No new alternative route was announced. It's not transitioning to protected bike lanes or neighborway. Just: nothing.

This destroys what used to be a low-stress route nearly all the way from Ghirardelli Square to Ocean Beach.

Senseless, arbitrary loss. #BikeSF #SFPol
