IMHO @signalapp disqualifies itfels being a #SingleVendor & #SinlgeProvider "solution" that also demands data they have no "legitimate interest" to request or store [so violating #GDPR or at least #BDSG] and @element seems keen on forcing #NonFree - #Licenseing changes to #AGPLv3 if not #SSPL aka. The "You can't make money off it!" - #AssholeLicense!

@Mer__edith Personally, @signalapp still collects way too much data and IMHO still has the same issues as all #centralized #SingleVendor & #SinlgeProvider solutions.

And considering #CloudAct and the ability as well as willingness of #Signal to enforce #Embargos, I'd just not trust it at all!

In fact, I'd call the #NSA and #FBI as "criminally incompetent" if they didn't place people within Signal...

Whilst #Signal has yet to be confirmed as #PRISM collaborator, it too is a #centralized & #proprietary #SingleVendor / #SinlgeProvider "solution" and thus inevitably susceptible to state-sponsored attacks and easy to force into compliance with facist demands.

You might as well use #EncroChat or #ANØM instead.
