Me parece genial pues la aplico precisamente en algo que necesitamos y nos conviene en contexto informático.

"El que pueda y quiera seguridad, que haga", entonces por eso #xmpp con #omemo y nada de redes sociales, sino con redes libres sociales, que hay considerable diferencia.

"El que pueda y quiera privacidad con seguridad, que haga, pues medios y formas hay."

2. Because of the long history of Jabber (since 1999!), and huge advancements in cryptography, encryption in XMPP has many options. So far, so good, but most clients are still on #OMEMO 1, which has some problems, and only few clients already have OMEMO 2 (#Kaidan by @kaidan, #Libervia by @Goffi, soon‽ also #Conversations_im by @daniel, #ConverseJS by @jcbrand and #JabberEl by @[email protected]). And there is no standard way to move decrypted message from an old device to a new one!

Hab übrigens doch noch einen öffentlich verfügbaren Server gefunden, wo man den Onion #TOR Endpunkt für #XMPP Chat nutzen kann: https://xmpp.is/

Die Kontakte müssen aber glaub ich auch auf Onion Endpunkten registriert sein. Zur Not dann einfach zwei Acounts nutzen, einen im normalen Internet und einen für anonym im Tor.

Mit dem bei #Tails Linux mitgelieferten #Pidgin funktioniert aber #OMEMO Verschlüsselung scheinbar nicht, also #Gajim extra installieren.

Bisschen Tricky, aber könnte es nun präsentieren. Briar wäre aber einfacher.

#LXMF Protokoll ist auch sicher und verschlüsselt, aber weiß nicht wie Anonym. Ansonsten scheint mir das für Personas der Tails-Zielgruppe besser geeignet.

Leider kann sich aber MeshChatX noch nicht über TOR-Verbinden und I2P ist nicht in Tails.

IMO ist für Tails-Nutzer und Whistleblower aktuell keine einfache Möglichkeit zur Chat Kommunikation verfügbar, zumindest nicht auf aktuellen Stand der Zeit.

Hi, nein, bei end zu end Verschlüsselung sind nur die beteiligten Geräte zuständig und der admin kann nichts daran ändern.
Die betroffenen Nutzer können versuchen sich gegenseitig privat eine verschlüsselte test-Nachricht zu schicken.
Bei gewissen Apps und fehlerzuständen kann das das Problem beheben.

Es kann auch sein das das einfach Geräte sind die zum Zeitpunkt der Nachricht noch nicht online waren und deren omemo keys zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht veröffentlicht waren. Sodass der Absender nicht für diese verschlüsselt hat. Dann würde es in Zukunft einfach funktionieren.
