New server, new intro. I'm currently employed as a #DevOps & #AI Solutions Engineer in the healthcare industry. I'm primarily working with #infrastructure and writing backend software to integrate LLM supported features in our SaaS platform using tools like LangChain.
In my free time I'm riding my bike, playing #SimTower, or troubleshooting my #Kubernetes cluster. I like other things too. Probably too many things.
Let’s see if I can work out what to do here! 😆
I booted up this old PC earlier and installed SimTower fine… but the PC had a bit of a mare starting up this evening. All good now, though. Time to revisit SimTower for the first time in something like 25 years.
Oh nice. For ages I've been thinking of this game I played at the end of the '90s that I remembered as a side-view city simulator, but that was it. For some reason one of the main things I remembered was a chime sound at the end of the work day. I did a search a while back but couldn't find it, but I just found out what it was; Sim Tower. Yeah, not a city but just a skyscraper and it actually came out in 1994, might be why I couldn't find it! I'll have to try and download it and see if I can play it later.
Dunno if it'll play well on Windows 11 but I do have an old Windows XP machine here.
I first looked for a public domain late '90s game as I think I got it on a cover disk for some PC magazine about then, that probably sent me in the wrong direction. So, not public domain but an old game.
I was wondering why there are no #SimTower (1994) inside #eXoDOS project, while #SimCity2000 (1993) is included. It’s so obvious now. It’s Windows game and it’s inside #eXoWin3x pack instead.
