I recently started doing some physical artwork for the first time in many years, a Rothschild's Silk Moth (Rothschildia lebeau ssp. forbesi) linocut print.
People know me for spiders and moths, so I decided to bring that to printmaking. This was my second linocut ever. A spider was my first of course, you will see that soon.
The design is based on my photo, with some initial help from AI converting to line art, though I ended up significantly redoing and modifying it to get the moth's details accurate in a way I could successfully carve.
