๐๏ธ๐งฌ A new #study proposes that #vertebratesโ unique #eyes evolved from a single median eye atop a #worm-like ancestor 600 million years ago.
That ancestor lost its side eyes while burrowing, then later repurposed its remaining third eye into our paired eyes. The pineal gland in your #brain is that original third eye, still regulating your #sleep from light signals.

A newly published hypothesis suggests that human eyes evolved from a single "third eye" on an ancient ancestor's head. This proposed evolutionary detour would explain why vertebrate vision is unique, leaving a functional remnant inside our brains.

๐งต 2/n fixing that would require
Plan A: MOVING all the files back to the source (same HDD = slow), and a 2nd run with adjusted volblocksize=1M.
๐ Apparently, volblocksize is immutable - DESTROY + reCREATE, then!
Plan B: use the old unreliable 4TB HDD with bad blocks, partition it, and run a raidz2 or a 3-wide mirror on it = even slower!
Plan C: refresh my off-site copy TODAY ๐คฃ ๐
Should've told the #LLM about the large-file #WORM use-case - Write Once Read Often. ๐
