...i too was #nonverbal as a kiddo and want to remind others that just cos we cant speak doesnt mean we cannot hear and understand...and no. torturing us will not help us speak or "fix" us.

if you care, realize #communication has more forms than #voices.

when my kids were babies, i taught them to sign, so they could "voice" their needs without having to be frustrated or left out. caring means thinking outside your own experiences.
