Last weekend's drive along the Cheroholah Skyway (aka Tail of the Dragon, as it's known to motorcyclists). The skyway stretches from eastern TN to western NC.

There was a fair bit of color at these higher elevations. #Fall #FujifilmXT5 #Sigma1850

Loving the combo of the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 with the Sony a6700 — compact, sharp, fast AF, and perfect for run-and-gun shooting. APS-C never looked so good. 🔥📸 #SonyA6700 #Sigma1850 #photography

I was initially disappointed that my copy of the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 lens didn't seem capable of the near-macro 4.8"
focusing distance on my Fujifilm X-T5.

Then I remembered that my lightweight Fujinon XC 15-45mm can only focus close when zoomed out... et voila! Behold, a star ship!

I'm loving this lens. #Sigma1850 #StarTrek

I really like the Fuji X Weekly "Ilford Pan F Plus 50" film simulation in my X100V.

There aren't instructions for using the recipe with the newer X-T5, so I just followed the exact same settings. As best as I can tell, this custom recipe looks essentially the same on the X-T5.

Trixie, shot at ISO 8000.

Early Christmas through our bow window. (The poinsettias are there year round because I can't stand to throw away live plants.) #FensterFreitag #FujifilmXT5 #Sigma1850

A few test shots taken with the Sigma 18-55 f/2.8 tonight. All were shot wide open, except for the skeletons that were shot at f/4.

I made some small, global edits on these in-camera JPEGs. #FujifilmXT5 #Sigma1850

My new Sigma 18-55mm f/2.8 zoom. I've taken a few test shots with it so far, but it's absolutely as small and light as they say. Now to pixel peep my test shots!

It's half the price of an equivalent Fujifilm lens. The main tradeoffs are less robust weather sealing, and no physical aperture ring - neither of which will have a big impact on my shooting. #fujifilmxt5 #sigma1850
