Sidebody | the PROPAGANDA site

Part a DIY indie band, part an art collective (among a bunch of other things), Sidebody plays a kind of music that, at the end of the day, is colored by their instincts and free flowing ideas. They work not so much as four musicians with well-defined roles who are on a mission to break some new ground, but more like four old friends having fun laying down tracks, fully guided by their spontaneity. They'll jump into some post-punk inspired, Bodega style playful uptempo tunes with a sparkly sound one minute, then slide right into a pop tune with old-fashioned choral harmonies. Their songs are often centered around everyday details and trivial observations. They are jangly, they are jagged, and they are, for the most part, quite exuberant.
