she's green (stylized in lower case) is a Minneapolis named band that plays a relatively softer form of shoegaze with swirly guitars, misty vocals and melancholic tones. They do crank up the volume and distortion levels for a dramatic lift or as they build up to a crescendo, but the home base they come back to at the end tends to have more dreamy accents with an underlying mournful feel. Zofia Smith's vocals blend into the overall wave of shimmer built by guitarists Liam Armstrong and Raines Lucas. The band's presentation has an ethereal quality both in the way they wrap their songs in lush arrangements and in terms of the ghostly beautiful textures they provide.
