I've been doing some more dot painting lately, and I promised I'd share some of the results, so here we go… mini-thread!

The first one (green + purple) is a stone I made for a friend, I call them "Soothing Stones" because I amplify the dots with thick glaze, making a really pleasing bumpy surface. They feel really good to hold in your hand and run your fingers over.

The other is a "dragon egg" design. I did an earlier one in reds, and wanted to try again with blues. :)

Tonight with the last Late Show with Stephen Colbert, I’m reminiscing about 2009 when we had a week to throw together a Mr. USO microsite for The Colbert Report when he made a surprise trip to film 4 shows in Iraq.
