On this #GoodFriday we solemnly contemplate the incredible dissonance, hypocrisy, and insincerity of those who oppress others as they celebrate their own liberation. They don't see it.

There's no such thing as Rambo Jesus. You either follow the Middle Eastern long-haired radical, who preached care for others, or you don't. I know that religion have been used as a weapon throughout history, but it's just so striking right now.

I escaped danger to come to your country (just like Jesus, Mary, and Joseph when they fled to Egypt) and you demonized me.

I couldn't pay the landlord, and you said it's my fault for not getting a better paying job.

I was sick, and you said I was faking it, and denied me medical treatment.

I was in prison and you said I deserved to be tortured in a death camp.

This is the type of in-depth reporting we need and deserve.
