Pragyas, Ghana’s motorized tricycles, connect communities where formal systems fail. Restricting them without alternatives deepens inequality.

Operators protested restrictions that bar them from the Central Business District. These mobility workers face harassment, extortion, and lost livelihoods.

Pollution peaks hit hardest among informal workers who live and work on the street.

Sustainable mobility helps the North live within planetary boundaries, and helps the South meet the needs of its citizens.

Car dependence has trapped cities in pollution and inequity. The alternative is already here: public and informal transport networks that move people efficiently on minimal energy.
