A seasonal image. Pumpkin Creek. :)
Every once in a while I see if I can identify things I've photographed. The highway going roughly diagonally through the image is Hwy230. To its north and to the left, where those lakes are, is Mortenson Lake National Wildlife Refuge. It was established after a Wyoming toad, thought to be extinct, was rediscovered in a lake just off to the left in 1987. The refuge was established in 1993 & is closed to the public.

It always amazes be that anyone from a place such as this city is not concerned about climate change and rising water levels. Have they never seen the riverfront?
So cool to see the earth below in different seasons. Again, I love the views and never take flying for granted.
