For today's #scalemodelsunday (which should have been #scalemodelsaturday but whatever) I figured I'd show you that I can do more than just military models. Here's the 1/48 Antonov An-2 by HobbyBoss. It's a fine, simple kit, which befits the real thing. The only things that are lacking are the non-skid surfaces on top of the wing (easily added by you) and some rigging diagrams, but other than that it's super easy. Go nuts with weathering!
Another #scalemodelsaturday? Don't mind if I already did! Here's the Amusing Hobby #1/35 FV214 Conqueror. The real #tank was intended to stop a flood of Soviet IS-3s pouring into West Germany with its 120mm rifled cannon. In reality, it was 10 tons heavier than its contemporary Centurion and used the same powerplant, which meant it broke down a lot. Only a handful were made and they apparently spent more time being repaired than actually in the field.

Work-in-Progress: A 1:6.5 scale, 3D printed WACO YMF-5 biplane, painted in deep purple metal flake. It will have white accents and lettering when complete.

1.44 m wingspan, 1.1 m length, and 43 cm height, with a 38 cm (15 in), two-bladed wooden propeller.

I created a custom ignition wire ring for the 14 spark plug wires of the 7-cylinder radial engine.

These golden era beauties are still made-to-order today https://www.wacoaircraft.com/ymf-5

This is a 3d printed 1:6.5 scale model of a Boeing-Stearman Model 75 “Kaydet” from 3DLabPrints.

It is painted in the chromium yellow and insignia red livery of U.S. Navy N2S-3 instrument trainer from the World War 2 era.

The broad red stripes appear on the tail behind the cockpit and on the top and bottom wings on either side of the fuselage. A pre-June 1942 U.S. National Roundel also appears on each wingtip.

Is #scalemodelsaturday a thing? No? Ok, well, it will be for me. Here's my 1/48 F-4D from the DC Air National Guard. It's the Zoukei-Mura #scalemodel kit with Speed Hunter decals. A great kit. When I was a wee tot, I remember bounding outside whenever I heard these things howling out of Andrews AFB, shouting "FITA PLAN FITA PLAN" and annoying my neighbors to no end.
