Morkis Beach ist eine Küstenstadt irgendwo an einem nicht näher definierten Küstenstreifen. Das Lebensgefühl: späte 50er, frühe 60er. Surfrock, Promenade, bunte Klamotten, Vinyl, Wellen und Strand.
Die Technologie: eine eigenartige Mischung – Röhrenradios neben einfachen Computern, Tonband neben Kurznachrichten und einer Art ICQ über das sogenannte Interfrequenz-Terminal. Ein Paralleluniversum. Ein alternativer Zeitstrahl.
Morkis Beach Broadcast ist mein deutschsprachiges Retrofuturismus-Hörspiel-Projekt. Man wird als Hörer:in hineingeworfen – man landet mitten in einer Stadt, die schon läuft. Die Leute kennen sich. Die Wunden sind schon da. Man findet die Zusammenhänge nach und nach. Auch was hinter dem ganzen steckt. Nicht viel Action, slow Storytelling, unaufgeregt und nerdig.
