Ok, Elegoo I know breaking the screen was my own fault, but it’s a consumable, I should not have to strip the printer down to this in order to replace it

Also very naughty with the hot glue on the cables that need unplugging

I broke the screen of my printer!

It is a consumable, that’s just a thing, my mistake was that I didn’t clean the tank after a failed print, my own fault, it happens unfortunately

So had to order a replacement and will try and get this fitted in the next couple of days

I've started dipping my 3D #resin prints into hot water for about 10 seconds after washing them. This seems to dramatically assist in removing supports from the print. It also seems to leave less marks from the supports. (1/2)

I had to recalibrate my #Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra and it seems to be printing better now. I have a feeling the change temperature had something to do with why it went wonky. It's gotten much hotter out lately so that probably did it. I wish #3DPrinters weren't so finicky.

Day 385 of the #HobbyStreak and thanks to advice from the @Elegoo Discord community and Colin I have cracked the issue of printing in this weather, and have another Rook!

Turns out yeah the Mini Heater was the solution with a decent time to heat up the vat!

Now I will print all the things!!!

The weather has gotten horribly cold, and my ability to print anything is zero

But I have an amazing wife in @lindsaylikestea who leant me the cash to buy the @Elegoo mini heater for the printer

Hopefully this results in more reliable printing for the colder months

Replacement screen for my printer arrived on Monday, had to collect it from the shop as ruddy @ups ignored my request to reschedule the delivery, ah anyway, got fitted today and works perfectly

Thanks @elegoo for brilliant service and sorted this out for me super quick, these machines being very user serviceable is brilliant

The 3D printer is working out well (this is a photo from when it first arrived, so before refurb)

Really happy with it, but the 8K resin is a bit of a twat to get dialed in properly, so going to follow some friends recommendations and move to an ABS like when I get back from WorldCon

So will need to grab a wash bucket for cleaning it
