Sometimes you're hanging out with your partner in the craft room. You're looking around for what to work on, and your eyes rest on it - one of your oldest treasures, the one that supercharged your descent into this silly hobby.

Both models are Ahzek Ahriman, Chief Librarian of the Thousand Sons Legion from Warhammer 40k. The first photo is his original pewter sculpt that first got me into Chaos Space Marines all those years ago. The second is his resculpt from the Wrath of Magnus era (late 7th ed)

(I should also mention, that was certainly not my original paint job on the pewter sculpt. A bud helped strip the paint, and I was able to give it a better try just a few years back)

Applied the base coat for the able trim on one of the shin plates. I was unsure about it at first, but seeing it next to the untrimmed plate, this makes a huge difference!

Another update on the Warmaster. Did a test fit of the leg panels before I start on the trim to check color scheme all together. Looks like it'll work well together. Need to clean up the hazard stripes on the frontal plate but I like it!

I know it's been a long time since I've updated on it; but I felt inspired to do a bit of work on the Warmaster today!
Now that I've committed to a color scheme, hopefully I can keep cracking away at it. Tried a new sponging technique and I like the weathered/distressed look it gives.
