Is there actually anything that doesn't work on #Mint/#LMDE6-32 that already worked on #WinXP?

I want to rip #sVHS tapes using a #Canopus connected to the #Firewire/IEEE1394 port.

But neither #Shotcut nor #Kdenlive offers this feature. 😭

One thing of note with mixing to tape is that one side has very finite length. A C90 is 45 minutes per side nominally. In practice they run about 46 minutes. That means you have to aim to conclude about 30 seconds before to fade out to avoid an abrupt end

Back then (1989) I also use beta HiFi tapes for mixes for longer mixes, especially those I did for university parties so I wasn't stuck the whole time mixing... I similarly used #svhs HiFi #tapes for long studio practice sessions in the 90s.

PANASONIC NV-HS900EG… Weiter auf Fehlersuche und leider fündig geworden. 🙁 Eine Mitnehmer-Nase am Pinch Arm ist abgebrochen. Dadurch funktioniert der ganze Ladevorgang vom Tape nicht. Mal schauen, wie ich das repariert bekomme…

Kann jemand eine S-VHS Videokamera und einen S-VHS Videorekorder gebrauchen?
