JulesOur short film's is a bit over 27mins long. But since most local festivals have a limit of 20mins, we had to trim it down a bit.
Wowa and I spent the past few weeks choosing what to cut and what to keep, and now we've landed exactly at 20mins flat. Not a single frame more or less.
It hurts a bit to know there are some shots I'm extremely proud of that won't be seen on the big screen. But nobody ever said it's easy to kill your darlings.

I have just finished the refine pass for the upcoming 3D Movie Maker video! Still got to watch through it to make sure I didn't miss anything, render it out, and do the thumbnail and description... But I'm finally at the endgame of making this vid, and it should be out by the end of the week - I'm so excited!

Paco HopeI recorded my son playing jazz in his high school jazz band last night. To put it online, I used #kdenlive on the videos. It’s a learning curve (like going from MS Paint to Gimp) but once you get it, it’s incredibly powerful for free software. I had the tiniest bit of editing I wanted to do: fade in, fade out, and subtitling. Totally trivial.
To be fair, I spent hours learning kdenlive for a different project. But the online help is clear. Subtitling is a dream on kdenlive.
