As some of you already know, I've been toying with Kdevlive on Haiku for a while now, it's been a hit or miss on rendering some video output, one did pretty well if I say so myself.
Kdenlive is at haikuports, latest recipe adds version 25.08.0 (disabled), still needs more testers, building it can be done by grabbing the sources from upstream or using haikuporter tool to build a package.

Build Animated Overlays with Kdenlive
Kdenlive 25.08.0 has been released. This release brings improvements to the background removal tool using SAM2. The background removal tool now uses less memory consumption. It also fixes SAM2 using hidden system packages. These changes now also allow installing specific CUDA version for Whisper and SAM2.
»#Kdenlive 25.08 also adds a "Enable Hardware Decoding" option within the configuration wizard. This hardware decoding option is in preparation for future Kdenlive releases that will deliver additional hardware acceleration features.«

Kdenlive 25.08.0 has been released. In this release the AV1 profile now get replaced with the faster SVT-AV1. Now there are preset options to control the quality and speed. Kdenlive also added SVT-AV1 to codecs which use CRF option.
