SECAI 2024 - Programme

Programme A total of 42 outstanding submissions were received. The selection process was conducted rigorously, resulting in the task of choosing papers becoming exceptionally tough. After thorough consideration, 15 papers were selected to be presented at the SECAI 2024 on 19-20th September.

Day two of the Touch Sensing and Processing Summer School is complete. Today the participants had the opportunity to go on an excursion to Saxon Switzerland, after which they could see Dresden's old town from a historic steamboat and were given a short tour around the city. The weather was on our side. Tomorrow the programme continues with a series of talks.

Research Perspectives: Radhika Juglan and her Work in Jakob N. Kather's Research Group - SECAI

The Else Kroener-Fresenius-Zentrum for digital health (EKFZ) is a strong research partner in SECAI, focusing on the direct interface between the digital world and the patient, thereby bridging the gap between medical big data efforts and traditional biomedical engineering. At EKFZ, SECAI PhD candidate Radhika Juglan, a promising young researcher from India, conducts her research under the guidance of Jakob N. Kather.

Research Perspectives: Max Beining and his Work in Jens Meiler's Research Group - SECAI

As a biosystems engineer and computer scientist, Max Beining came into contact with the computer-aided development of active substances and the in-silico design of proteins during his master's thesis on stabilising the HIV surface protein. Subsequently, he focused his research on the modelling of proteins and their interaction. The Alexander von Humboldt Professor Jens Meiler supervises his doctorate.
