@notjustbikes since #Amsterdam - like vast parts of the #Netherlands - is basically swampy estuaries, underground train construction is not conducive to it.

I mean, you ~ can ~ do that but #NewYorkCity, #Tokyo and #Singapore only did because they literally ran out of space and don't want to invest into modernized #SAFEGE-Style #OverheadMonorails - yet.

A single #pod coasting in a small office circle is not a "full-scale prototype", that's not even a full-scale maintenance depot...

And for some reason these #grifters are more successful than #Siemens who basically deliver the same (#SAFEGE-Style System) but as turnkey-ready setups AND in a comfiguration that is at least somewhat makes sense as #PublicTransport...

I think I'll write up a different proposal, for a #Columbus #APM design using #SAFEGE or #ALWEG or similar dedicated-guideway technology. Something that can deal with snow and ice, and be wholly automated for frequent all-day service in #Ohio.
