✈️🚇 Two of the busiest stations on the Tyne and Wear #Metro have been rebranded in a new partnership with easyJet. Monument and Central Station in #Newcastle city centre now feature the airline’s distinctive orange across platforms, escalators, concourses and digital screens.
The campaign coincides with easyJet opening a new base at Newcastle #Airport in March 2026, bringing three aircraft, around 1,200 jobs and expanded travel options. The airline now operates 86 weekly flights to 22 destinations across #Europe and North #Africa.
Nexus said the partnership enhances stations while generating revenue to support Metro operations, and highlights the network as a key route to the airport. easyJet said the collaboration helps reach passengers in the city centre and promote its growing range of destinations from Newcastle.
