The recording of my @rustlab talk βObserving Tokioβ is now online!
I talk about about metrics, tokio console, and task dumps!
Trusted computing got a new coat of paint. Now it's called "confidential computing", and it's totally not about who controls the machine, not at all.
A talk at #rustlab2023 triggered me, so I had to rant about it on my blog. Sorry.
I had the dubious honour of receiving this sticker from @edmcbane at #RustLab2023. π€£π€£
In my defence, I was making βair quotesβ with my hands as I said it.
Leaving Florence today after a very fun #rustlab2023 βοΈ
PSA for those leaving today: the marathon that should start about now-ish prevents traffic to the airport, including the tramway!
According to my hotel's staff, the only way is to walk up to outside the marathon's circuit and try to grab a cab (or just walk the 6km too the airport, it's not very fun, but doable.
On the way home from #RustLab2023 I finally bit the bullet and started writing a #tracing subscriber to help me debug the tracing instrumentation in #tokio.
So far Iβve got all the output I need printing to stdout, but without colouring. Now I want to colourise the different spans (tasks, resources, async ops) and events (wakes mainly) to help me quickly separate them visually.
Iβm having fun with this!
I tested negative, so far so good. Stay safe, Rustaceans!
Dear #rustlab2023 attendees,
I came back from the con and tested positive for Covid-19. Please consider getting tested as well.
