I am happy to finally see Linus provide public rebuke [1] to gatekeeping attempts in Linux against Rust4Linux folks. From what I understand that follows an attempt to resolve this conflict privately as evidenced by the description in Miguel’s message [2] in the same thread.
@AsahiLinux It's sad to hear, but I'll accept that decision.
Let him, know he's based af and that the way @linuxfoundation handled the "Anti-#Rust - Gang" is just inexcuseable and that I wish for @torvalds et. al. to not just take notes but actual #consequences given that the reasons that made @[email protected] quit are systemic!
BTW: here's his personal blogpost for everyone else who also cares...
If, for some reason, people are taking sides, I side with #Marcan - He did nothing wrong, and I think Linus failed, and continues to fail to notice, a serious issue.

Open source contribution: I added Archive of Rust Stable Standalone Installers page on Rust project's forge website. There you can now see all historical stable Rust versions starting from 1.0. This was initially requested by Rust for Linux project.
