First, I had to search the internet—I had no idea what a "root beer float" was.

According to Wikipedia, it is a traditional soft drink made from vanilla ice cream and "root beer," a type of herbal lemonade.

Incidentally, today, August 6, is National Root Beer Float Day in the US.

I'll stick with affogato al caffè, thank you very much.
