Red Flag Fire Alerts have been issued for NE Alabama and all of northern Georgia for Saturday. Fire weather concerns will be increased on Saturday due to a very
dry airmass and breezy north winds behind a cold front. Sunday will be similarly dry but with slightly weaker winds and from out of the south.

Residents and visitors are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate
containers.

" Scanning the skies for galaxies, Canadian astronomer Paul Hickson and colleagues identified some 100 compact groups of galaxies, now appropriately called Hickson Compact Groups. The four prominent galaxies seen in this intriguing telescopic skyscape are one such group, Hickson 44."
