John Willis 🔰@jsnell @siracusa Enjoyed The Robot or Not episode this week about Bay Leaves🍃 - my wife loves them, as she grew up with a Bay Leaf tree in her front yard (pictured). They have a very strong odor when picked.
Every year in late summer, I go over to her old house & trim the suckers off the tree, dry the bigger leaves for 2 weeks, and restock her giant container of bay leaves.
Any curry or soup she makes is sure to have 10-15 bay leaves, and you can sure taste their familiar odor! 🍃 #robotornot

Mushrooms are often dried. I wonder if the restaurant poured hot water over dried mushrooms to make their “tea”, as opposed to cooking them. A soup assumes cooking, in my opinion. Pouring hot water over mushrooms wouldn’t make them a soup.
