Very early in The Amulet and the Dragon, the two characters search a #library for clues about the mysterious Amulet.

#Writephant What banned and challenged books are on your to-be-read pile?
Um, er, I don't have a to-be-read pile.
I have a to-be-read wall. Plus another wall. And a bookcase. And some piles around the bedroom . . . plus research for my writing.
I'm worried the books may win.

What banned and challenged books have you read recently?
Love in the Library by Maggie Takuda-Hall, a lovely picture book depicting how the author's parents met & fell in love at a Japanese interment camp during WWII.
And the Last Trump Shall Sound--3 novellas by Harry Turtledove, James Morrow & Cat Rambo. It's alt near future history from Caezik SF.

The WIP is set in the 1980's, so I have people popping in and out of the small-town library for books, to make photocopies, etc.
