Kathleen Riebe dropped out of the race for Utah's District 1 US Representative and is putting her support behind Ben McAdams.

I disagree. I have many strong memories of contacting Ben McAdams when he was my representative, pushing him to vote for my and his other constituents rights only for him to demure and vote against them in the name of "Blue Dog Democrats" push to lower the deficit and cut spending.

I recommend revisiting his voting record to remind yourself what he truly supports and doesn't.

McAdams won in a district competitive with Republicans, so Democrats couldn't hope for anyone better/more progressive than him.

In the new District 1, we can do much better and I'm throwing my support behind my current Utah state senator Nate Blouin. I want someone who will fight not only for reproductive freedom like Kathleen Riebe. I want full civil rights for everyone. Trans rights, voting rights, economic rights (tax the rich), and legal rights (prosecute white collar criminals, fund the IRS, and impeach Trump).
