After a long hot day of #NoKings3 activities in #Phoenix, 300* people packed themselves in my condo for an after-party, and it was glorious.
Lots of food, drink, for sure. But it also shored up personal connections between people who only see each other for an hour or so every week or so.
Our local community of resisters was made that much stronger. We’re better for it.
* OK, I may be exaggerating by an order of magnitude. But it was packed!
The mornings in #Phoenix are still pretty gorgeous… but that won’t last long.

It’s officially hot enough in #Phoenix that I’ll be risking my immortal soul by wearing only linen-cotton blends until it passes. In November.

Aaaaaaaannnd then this happened:
A group of four young racists showed up at our #RhRR event this morning trying to provoke a response for their pretend talk shows.
After half an hour of not getting what they wanted, they finally did enough harassment that one of our attendees responded.
No blows. Minor scuffle. Cops were called & took statements. No arrests or charges pressed.
The young racists got the content they wanted. 😑
