This is probably my biggest achievement of the year.
The majority of that playtime was trying to nail that deathless run. The most annoying thing is, I had to do a 100% Golden Cat run, which i also achieved deathless 🤣
It is what it is.
I don't recommend any of those kinds of runs for anyone, the game itself is challenging enough that finishing it is an accomplishment in its own right!
Holy crud. Not going to lie, still shaking.
I was getting ready to give up on this and use save states (i had dropped two at the hardest moments of this run).
This probably took in excess of 12 attempts, and it wasn't even, with each attempt I got further. No. My 2nd attempt got me to stage 8 out of 9 and I fluffed a jump, it took about 5 more attempts before I was able to get back to stage 8. On that run, I fluffed a reasonably easy jump...
Eventually I made it to the stage 8 boss, who, is the biggest challenge as he can kill you in a single hit.
But it is done now, and I can finish off the mastery with some significantly less intense and stressful challenges.

Finally reclaimed my Super Mario Bros 3 Mastery after the latest Retroachievements.org revision. So satisfying to finally complete the set again. The new achievements were a fun challenge, though getting stuck on the Hammer Bros Suit achievement was frustrating.
It's nice to make progress again.
I give it...A week, before my top spot on this high score table is destroyed...
Let's fricking go!
Been waiting for this to crop up for a while now.
Not that I need an excuse to play the MegaDrive Masterpiece that is Quackshot again! 😂
Master 2: Frogger for the Atari 2600!
As soon as I found out that you can stay still on a log and wrap around the screen on the default difficulty, the game became a lot easier. One still has to thread the needle on level 8, though.
Yesterday I mastered the most "why would you do this" RetroAchievement set yet. I have mastered NSYNC: Get to the Show, a weird mini game collection for the Gameboy Color.
