Hello, #Fedi! I posted earlier about not finding very good/detailed info re #diabetes earlier … completely failing to remember that there are likely lots of folks here who could point me to good resources. (Thank you @canadianglen for the suggestion!)

I was #dx'd maybe 4 yrs ago but have had problems since I was first put on #corticosteroids as a kid for #Lupus. The most recent time I had to use those I now also had a #CGM and insulin, so when those very old yet familiar sensations of extreme #BloodSugar highs came back, it was a bitter recognition.

Anyhow … I'm in Canada and my CGM measures in mmol/L (so numbers for me may range from 3.2 to 21 mmol/L).

I have both #Tresiba (basal) and #Truapi (fast) injectable pens but more often than not have hours or days of uncontrolled highs for no reason I can ascertain.

Any good resources folks have to share?

Hello there~

Question for the Fediverse — does anyone know of materials that could be used for putting up together a presentation about the Fediverse?
Complete presentations could be nice as well, ofc. ;3

Some extra notes:

- English or Spanish, public domain or copyleft.

- NOT academical. Clarity and accessibility matter (so: no endless screens of bullet points, in particular).

- NOT technical. Like, at all; even explaining "what this ‘federated’ thing is" won't go farther than “You know the way gmail and hotmail can message each other? Well, that”. Yeah, yeah; I know saying that here is kinda sacrilegious; please work with me here…

- I know the best introduction to the Fediverse at the end of the day is just… getting there and start using it. Probably on a Fediparty or some such, but that's mostly just a (big) bonus. Trust me tho, I'm working with what I got… 😅

- Couldn't I just make things from scratch myself..? I mean, sure, I could. I know in that case it ain't gonna happen though. So better ask. ^~

anyone know of good online resources for finding traits of bacteria? Ideally a database or large csv file where a bunch of species of bacteria have traits listed such as Gram stain, aerobic needs, etc, but I'll settle for any resources that have consistent information about bacteria.
Wikipedia, for example, hasn't been very consistent in what information it shows for species.
