We caught up with the delay we got between Basel and Freiburg and arrived in Frankfurt right on time - so I had time enough to buy some classic German train station lunch (Dean & David has this flatbread since I was a student in Munich 😅).

Zurich to Amsterdam on the night train was a pretty big commute! But it's not my biggest commute this month: later I'll be going by train from Amsterdam to Sweden, and thence a boat to Finland. I'm lucky I can do this with my work, and that there's plenty of work (and reading) I can do on a train. #travel #groundedtravel #academicchatter #ResearchersOnTrains
