#Repuiblicans just elected a #ProRape, #ForcedBirth, anti #BirthControl, anti #LGBTQ, #ClimateChange denier that supported the #January6th terrorist attack and attempted to overthrow American democracy, as Speaker.
Can't say I'm surprised.
"Their opposition to these programs has not been merely ideological. They have been horrified at how popular these programs are with the public and how much the public relies on them — thereby justifying government activism for the benefit of average working people."
And many Republican voters who desperately need these programs will keep right on pulling the Republican lever. Go figure.
