Black Metal Stu🇺🇦🇮🇱Ich habe mich so sehr auf #Starfield gefreut! Hab ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr damit gerechnet dass das #Videospiel überhaupt für #Playstation5 veröffentlicht wird. Vor einer halben Stunde hab ich es gekauft. Wegen meinem Schwiegervater weiß ich nicht wann ich das nächste Mal Zuhause sein werde, deshalb bin ich nochmal 1 Stück begeisterter von der Möglichkeit das Spiel auf mein Handy streamen und mit BT-Gamepad spielen zu können. Wie Scheisngeil gleich Starfield #RemotePlay spielen zu können!

sound wasn't being passed through with Steam Remote Play, the solution was to exclude the game from Easy Effects (i use it for an equalizer that affects every game/software capable of producing sound; and microphone noise suppression)

Summary
Root cause: The NVIDIA driver 535 was incompatible with kernel 6.17.0-14-generic on the server (modprobe nvidia → "Invalid argument"). This caused Xorg to fall back to the modesetting driver with no hardware GPU acceleration. Steam Remote Play was forced into software encoding, which produced corrupted YUV420 color output → the green/magenta artifacts.
Changes made on server (10.11.182.90):
1. Upgraded NVIDIA driver from 535 to 570 (570.211.01) — compatible with kernel 6.17
2. Blacklisted nouveau (/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf) + updated initramfs
3. Rebooted — nvidia 570 loaded successfully, Xorg now uses the nvidia driver
Changes made on client (192.168.0.102):
1. Installed vainfo — confirmed VA-API H264 decode works via Intel i965 driver
What happens now
Steam Remote Play will use the proper pipeline:
• Server: NVFBC screen capture → NVENC H264 hardware encoding (correct NV12 color format)
• Client: VA-API H264 hardware decoding via Intel i965
The color corruption should be gone. Start a Remote Play session to test it.
Seit ich meinen #8Bitdo #UltimateGamingController habe verstehe ich den Reiz den eine #Switch beziehungsweise #Switch2 ausmacht deutlich besser. Ich habe den eigentlich nur für #RemotePlay auf #Playstation4 und #Playstation5 gekauft (da gefällt mir das Teil bedeutend besser als die originalen Gamepads von Sony), habe aber angefangen den auf längeren Fahrten mit den Öffis zu nutzen um gamepadkompatible Spiele wie Titan Quest und Spongebob The Cosmic Shake zu spielen und genieße die Ablenkung total. Außerdem ist es halt auch DEUTLICH günstiger als eine Playstation Portal.
