#JoyReid takes #ByronDonalds to task for his free choice to make the contention that there was any good whatsoever in the #JimCrow era for #BlackFamilies.

He didn't have to bring up Jim Crow. He could've just said that marriage rates were higher in the 1950s. My recollection is that they were higher across the board, not just for black families, though.

He doesn't really give a good answer for why he bright it up. Like, does he think the end of Jim Crow led to the decline of marriage rates in Black American families? But... also white families? Or something...?
