'Will Taliban send fighters to Ukraine after signing Russia pact?'
'Russia has signed an agreement to increase its military cooperation with the Taliban, deepening its ties to the hardline Islamist group and enshrining its outlier status as the only country in the world to recognise its regime in Afghanistan.'
Russia has now signed a military cooperation agreement with the Taliban.
The same Taliban that Moscow officially classified as a terrorist organization until 2025.
After removing them from its terrorist list, formally recognizing their government, and calling for sanctions relief, the Kremlin is now deepening military ties with Kabul.
For years, Russia claimed to be fighting terrorism. Today, it is building strategic partnerships with those it once labeled terrorists.
Geopolitics often reveals that principles are temporary, while interests endure.

The United Nations is raising alarm over continued drone attacks in Sudanโs Darfur region after multiple strikes reportedly killed civilians and intensified fears for communities already trapped by the brutal conflict between rival militaries.
The 20 million women of Afghanistan are prisoners. They cannot feel sunlight on their faces, they cannot speak, and they do not know if they will ever be free.
This is all thanks to the Taliban. And these are the men who von der Leyen is inviting for talks on migration. The EP says we regret this invite. But regret is not enough.
Until the women of Afghanistan can speak and be heard - the Taliban are welcome in The Hague, but not in Brussels.

Former Jihadi Leader, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, in his Eid message, said Afghanistanโs ongoing crisis can only be resolved through sincere, unconditional dialogue among all influential sides. He called for an end to use of war for reaching power or maintaining it, and foreign-backed conflicts in Afghanistan, emphasizing leadership through public consent, consultation, accountability, merit, and Islamic principles rather than authoritarian rule and coercion. Implicitly criticizing the Taliban regime, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar said that in a true Islamic system, appointments should be based on merit and expertise, remarking that a religious cleric should not be appointed to lead an engineering faculty.
