A new list of 28 tree species for foresters to grow in future in Scotland marks a major step forward in helping our woodlands & forests adapt to the growing threats of climate change
Reading a copy of the #ReforestingScotland journal I picked up when I was last over there, I learned about Cecil Konijnendijk's 3-30-300 rule for urban forest:
3: You can see three mature trees from where you live, work or study 🏡
30: Each neighbourhood should have thirty percent tree canopy cover 🏘
300: Everyone should be no more than three hundred metres from good quality green space 🌳

(Where I'm sitting right now I can't see three mature trees, but if I stand at the window and crane my neck, then I can see some.)
