Small reminder to people searching for references in this day and age using google.
Never thought about Obsidian as a reference gathering/organizing app. But it looks like it's really good at this. Not only you can drop your images there, but also put a lot of other contents (like links, web sits, vidoes, etc.). It even plays gifs :)
When searching for #ReferenceImages you might want to avoid ai generated ones. They have already flooded the internet and it's tedious to filter them out manually. There's a simple trick to help with that, at least on google image search: add 'before:2022' to your search term.
And remember to support human artists! #HumanArt
I swear—my walks around my Cherokee Point San Diego neighborhood have resulted in some wonderful reference imagery! I have such good and caring gardeners around me!! LOL!
I am literally chomping at the bit to paint these images!! Woohoo!
Here are the two reference images I’ll be using for my upcoming livestream on Wednesday, Feb 28, 7-9:00pm PST (GMT-8).

These images of Daffodils can both be found on Unsplash:

I’ll be using the first for a bit and then jumping to the second shortly thereafter.
